My passion for painting started whilst living in Colorado where I immersed myself in the diverse Denver art community. Painting in the “Alla Prima” wet on wet style allows me to push my colour palette sometimes blending on the canvas which results in fresh, loose, and visible brush strokes and a playful energy across my works.
I am always looking for opportunities to paint outdoors as it allows me to capture nature’s true colours and the play of light in a single moment. Taking seemingly simple scenes and transforming them into a beautiful and interesting vignette with only oil paints feels like my very own superpower.
I’ve been fortunate to live my dream as a professional Artist for the last 7 years as well as teaching classes and workshops around Australia. My work is held by collectors across Australia and internationally with multiple awards and regular shortlists in numerous national shows including Lethbridge 20000, The Darcy Doyle’s, and Spirit of Australia.
